WotLK Classic DPS Class Tier List and Buy WotLK Classic Gold

Here are the most desired and viable classes

World of Warcraft has been out for a long time and things are always changing. However, rarely, do we go back in time to get a tier list for a game. Wrath of the Lich King Classic brings the game back to how it was in 2008. Classes were much different back then, but this is a good thing. Wrath of the Lich King was the peak of World of Warcraft and there were plenty of tier lists back then too. Since World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic isn’t changing the classes at all, it means the classes that were strong back then are still strong now.

This tier list will consist of the best classes and their specialization for the DPS role. For the most part, all classes are viable in Wrath of the Lich King Classic, but some will easily outshine the others. Some classes are so far ahead, that they are almost essential for raids and dungeons. So for those wanting to get WotLK Classic gold as quickly as possible, then it is best to pick a class that excels at everything.

Without further ado, let’s jump into the tier list and explain how this tier list is made. Also, the classes in the tiers are in no particular order and their specializations are in parenthesis.

Tier List Explanation

When it came to making this DPS tier list, there were a lot of things to take into consideration other than just pure damage. You have to think about the full picture and inspect every part of the gameplay. I will break down why the classes are where there are. Lastly, this tier list is based on my opinion and a comparison of other guides as well.

Damage

The damage output of a class is one of the most important aspects when determining the DPS tier list. However, there are two distinct damage types that you should be looking for. Sustained damage and burst damage. Having consistent and sustained damage is a bit better of the two, especially for raids and dungeons. Burst damage is great for blowing up enemies quickly, but will leave you doing little damage until the rotation comes around again. Burst damage is great for single targets.

Utility

Utility refers to what the DPS class can bring to the team other than damage. A lot of classes have useful buffs for the team and debuffs for the enemy. Some of these are always wanted in a raid or when doing dungeons. For example, some classes have ok damage, but also provide a variety of other usefulness making them higher on the tier list compared to just plain damage dealers. Utility also plays a hand in survivability. Staying alive is important if you want to dish out the most damage. A dead teammate can ruin an entire run, as it will disrupt the team.

Stackability

Stackability mostly refers to dungeons and raids. Having multiple players using the same class in a dungeon or a raid is usually not preferred. However, sometimes stacking the same class can be beneficial. This is because some buffs and debuffs can stack, this is rare though. If the team communicates well, then they can also rotate between buffs so that the team always has it up. The Unholy Death Knight is a great class for stacking debuffs.

Solo

This is probably the least important on the list, however, there are a lot of players that prefer to play alone. Questing solo is a great way to get Wrath Classic gold and other WotLK items. It is best to use a class that can get things done quickly. Since solo questing isn’t hard, you don’t need to tank much damage. Choose a class that has good area of effect damage and utility, and you will be able to get quests done relatively easily.

Conclusion

In short, the Death Knight and Warlock are two classes that are very desirable in Phase 1. It is important to note that all Wrath of the Lich King classes are viable in most cases. There are a lot of things to take into consideration like team build and the skill of the user. However, picking up one of the higher-tiered classes will give you a much easier time earning WotLK Classic gold. Better classes mean faster clearing and also being wanted more in a group. The most important factor is having fun though. Play what class you feel most comfortable with.
